At least that's what my kids seem to think! They will spend many hours at the table--doing school, crafts, puzzles, and games--but not if it requires sitting in a chair. And why should they? Their brains often seem to work better when they are up on their feet.
The former president of my alma mater, Covenant College, seemed to agree. During his time as president, he had a desk constructed at chest level for him to stand up behind to do his work. I can see my kids having a comparable future work area.
And I'm okay with that...
...as long as they've learned to put their socks on right-side out by then, just in case some other crazy person wants to take a picture of their feet...
